One of Cumbernauld's most well-established drama groups has scored a success in a national drama competition.
The Apex Players won the Royalty Players Trophy in the SCDA Drama Festival last week at the Mitchell Theatre in Glasgow. The trophy is for the best play in the festival depicting Scottish life and character and was won by Apex's production of Harry Glass' play "Swings and Roundabouts". This will be the fifth time the name of the Apex Players has been engraved on the trophy.
Both Apex plays were well received by the festival's adjudicator, with "Swings and Roundabouts being Play of the Night on Wednesday and "Nothing Else to Lose" on Thursday night.
